Thanks for the Dodge Neon repair manual. I just had the same problem where the timing belt broke prematurely and left me stuck on the side of the road. I towed the car home and removed the timing belt cover and it was broken. Turns out valves in 3 cylinders were bent but no other damage to the cylinder head existed. The machine shop rebuilt the head and I was going to use the manual to re-install the timing belt but I am not sure how to set TDC after broken timing belt. The manual details how to ensure #1 cylinder compression is TDC but I’ll trust an expert to do the repair job instead.
